I am María Abdala Zolezzi, self-taught fashion designer and founder of MAYDI. Maydi is my nickname since childhood, and even back then fashion was my passion. I relied upon my own sewing machine; I designed and created dresses for my dolls. I studied advertising in Buenos Aires. In 2001 I took a course in Fashion Design at the London College of Fashion.

I worked in marketing, communications and market development for more than twelve years in the Paris fashion industry for brands such as: Golden Goose Deluxe Brand, Sonia Rykiel,  Hermès, Isabel Marant, Robert Dodd Showroom, PLC Consulting Paris, the Fédération Française de la Couture “Designers Apartment Showroom”, among other experiences.
