Fall Winter 2024

This collection called EVOLUTION, autumn-winter 2024-25 bears this name celebrating in February 2024 the 10 th anniversary of MAYDIs creation. For the creation of this collection, MAYDI is inspired by a woman and a man in search of pieces that give fullness, made of intrinsic values, comfort and durability.

A formal and informal style, it is the season of innovation and transformation where the accent is placed on the handcrafted detail of each garment, on the different techniques such as the barracan and pied de poule, the new tailoring line and the new fibers used. The new fibers are bouclé, a blend of merino and mohair, which gives a feeling of lightness, purity, and softness.

Merino astrakan, merino 18 microns like the texture of cashmere, merino distaff with organic yarns, llama, baby llama, mohair, hemp/merino, angora wool, present in this collection take on a metaphorical power in their composition creating wefts, patterns, transparencies, and volumes. Structured and refined lines in sweaters and accessories as well as in the newtailoring line. Some fabrics become a second skin.

The selection of this season's color palette was designed to democratize the color ranges, giving a leading role to each one of them. Neutral tones are always present, vibrant tones such as tomato red, this season's essential color, olive green and blues, tobacco, taupe and mélange grey, an infallible choice.

In honor of these 10 years of creation, each piece is named after members of my family, the romances of my favorite poet Jorge Luis Borges and Argentinean sites and landscapes.
